Intelligarde

Hi guys,

Does anyone any information on the security company intelligarde in Toronto? I have resently applied and would like to know a little more about their reputation.

hay i will tell u this much...They are a good company, you will get enough hours and good trainging...but one thing i hated was that they think they are cops.....

As a former employee of Intelligarde, I would suggest that you DON NOT JOIN THE COMPANY IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO JOIN THE POLICE FORCE!

Ask any or the former managers and employees and they will tell you the same thing. The company is full of political crap and you could do your self more harm than good!!!!!

[Avoid Security Companies]

Sounds like security companies in other large cities / universities that I've had friends work for.

I would suggest not working for security companies if you can help it.

Work with kids or teaching or something else that allows you to work with people.

Security guards, fairly or unfairly, tend to get stereotyped by police and the general public as wannabes, IMO.

hmmm very interesting info.. I have applied to security companies in the past and went through some basic training , but I decided that if I am gonna be shot at , it 's not gonna be while making $8-10 an hour.. so I stayed in my mind numbing job. I have noticed a huge change in security companies.. from their cars to their uniforms.. they really do look like police officers now :x

Thanks to everyone who has posted and given advice. I have gone for the basic training and decided that Intelligarde was not for me.
