Hi.

Beside policing, I am also thinking about By-Law Enforcement career. I read the requirements for it and it asks for over one year of post secondary education in Law Enforcement or Building regulation. I have computer science diploma and took only one course from police foundation program, but I have been working in Law enfacement for more than 4 years. So the question is that is it a must to have education in Law enforcement? In other words, can I apply for it based on my experience? Also what is the hiring process?

Any comments would be really appreciate it.

Thanks

8) Hey if by law is the same as policeing then u should have no problem to get in. i understand that law enforcment is looking for diversity all over the bord not only in people but in employment back grounds. so give it a shot all you have to lose is..... really nothing!

cheers

In the City I work for you indeed need a police foundations program as well as the Humber College By-Law Enforcement course. Where I work you start out in Parking Control and have to be promoted.

I hope this helps, however I would still apply you never know! :D
