I'm wondering what length of time a person could expect to be at the interview for. I thought I heard it was quite long but I might be confusing it with the polygraph. I'm going to calgary for mine on tuesday.

RMSIG is about 2 to 3 hours, the Poly is 3 to 4 hours. My RMSIG was 2.5hrs and my Poly was 3.5hrs

Anspray not to step on any toes but your times aren't quite right. The interview will be 2-4 hours to be thorough they explain that as soon as you sit down. And in the letter (or in my case email) with your poly time on it they tell you that it is 5 hours. I personally know of people that had polys that ran over 6 hours and made it through to background. The length of both of these stages is pointless though. They don't care one bit how long it is. They care about the content of the interview and the honesty of the poly.

Thankyou! I suppose I should try to not be intimidated simply because it is so long. I think my longest job interview was only 30 min. or so, but obviously this will be far more in depth. Should be interesting. Thanks again!

Hey Ken, I can honestly say I enjoyed the interview. Mine was right around 3 hours and it was at a relaxed pace. The interviewer was great. Overall that is my favorite step yet. Don't even sweat it. Go in and have fun, be confident, and smile. Think of any and all job, volunteer, sport and misc experience you have and spend some time thinking about the questions before you answer. When you pause to pick the right answer it gives you time to organize your thoughts so you can make your answer easy to follow and understand. And that can only be a good thing.

Best of Luck,
Mike
