What is the ATS passing mark for PATI?

I was just wondering if anyone would know what score is needed to pass the PATI test?

The passing mark is unknown. In my personal opinion I believe its somewhere in the 70's, but this is just a guess.

It changes.

The test also changes from time to time.

Human Resources can lower or up the passing mark de[ending on what their needs are.

OPP recently made the test more difficult and upped the pass mark.

I had asked a representative at ATS and I was told the Pass for the PATI was approx. 2/3. So 2/3'd of the PATI is 60 out of 90 or approx. 67%. Please note that this guy did not know the testing nor claim to know the actual pass / fail mark.

I also agree, my opinion is the pass mark is around 70%. Remember the GATB was canned because it was too hard and a majority of people were failing, I also heard there was other, less important issues as well. I would seriously doubt they would make it harder.

Note: I was scoring around 80-90% on the test on this site and I found the actual test with ATS was MUCH easier.

At the high point 78.9%- 71 correct, at the low point 67.8% 61 correct.
The average 72% 65 correct.

2/3 of the year they go with the average. about 25% of the year they go with the high & less then 10% they go with the low.

It depends on 4 factors

1. How many have written and passed in the last 2 months.
They formulate to see if there is more or less of a supply & demand for candidates for the forces across Ontario.
The more that pass, the most likely the next 2-3 months the Pass mark will be in the high range, and if more fail most likely the low target will be adopted for a time period.

2. Ratio of Females to Males, Fact more then 70% of females pass with a score higher the 82% Fact 53.8% of males fail, the average male mark is 71.3% when they pass, when they fail 64.3%. The average candidate writes the exam twice.
So,hence the average pass mark during the year is 72%.
They never want an unbalanced gender pool of cadets.
But you will never know what it will be unless you have inside Info.

3. Time of the year, summer more people look into what next year will bring.
Many people apply during May -mid Sept. mark is always in the high range.
Stats 3/5 eligible cadets during these months are Females.

4. A period in which the success rate is over the average for the past 6 months.
If 500 wrote in 2 months & 75% passed you bet your $$$$$ the next 3 months will be at the high.
These stats are based on ATS 2003-2004 numbers.
How do I know, with out getting into detail, I knew someone who worked for ATS and this is there internal stats.
I can say more but i want to protect this person.
I am in the middle of applying myself.

The only thing I will say is this, There are exactly 4 WCT, all of them are the same
only things that changes is the cars & conditions
PATI there are 3 of them, structured all the same way, same question different order, they change the tests every 3 weeks and you will never write the same one again, at least they try to do this, they give you a number that corresponds with the tests you write.
GATB was too hard your right, but more importantly everyone had a copy of both of them. You could find any recruit selling them 5 years ago, I would venture to say in the pool 5-6 years ago the cops that got on in, I would at least say if not more, 60% had the actual test in their hand before taking it.
The WCT that someone posted on this site is one of the 4 WCT ATS administers.
And yes the PATI will be getting a re-haul in the next 3-6 months because copies of that are also in the wrong hands.
There was a guy who actually brought the answers into the testing & got caught in Toronto, believe it or not

Does it really matter where this Info was obtained from, don't you read?
They say they know someone who works for ATS and they want to protect the identity of that person, only question I would have is...if the person does not work there anymore as they state in the post, then why protect the identity~ perhaps from the way the stats read in the post, this person may still be working there and the person who wrote this wants to protect them & his interests obviously.
Whether you do or don't believe this person GURU & the stats they have supplied us with, whether you think they just wrote it for what ever stupid reason and your curious that's fine don't believe, but to me, it makes a lot of sense and the numbers kind of check in...don't you think GURU, I mean don't they seam reasonable enough to be creditable in your opinion?
Look, this person wont tell us how or who, they wont please our curiosity but some times you have to put those simple details aside and make desicions on your own & hope your discretion is moderate enough to believe what you read but at the same time be realistic, these numbers do exactly that! and if this person just made it all up well at least it gives you some guide & for sure those numbers must be close. I'm sure it is not at low 45-50 & average 60-63 & high over 85% +.
Now instead of being curious, wouldn't trying to get in contact with this person in some way or another be more beneficial to all of us who have not written the test yet, I mean if it already out there, and I also have heard the same thing, if this person and what they claim is true lets get in contact with them.
I'm sure he/she doesn't want to post answers on this site they never know who's on, having said that, the person who wrote the WCT in previous posts, their thread was not removed and more then a few people verified that was the actual WCT, did you see it GURU?
So, how do we get a hold of you to talk some business Mr. Bond?

A way we can verify apportion of what they say is go by what they wrote, at one point they say that if you rewrite then you don't get the same test to do they give a number, for those of you who have wrote more then once is this true & are the question the same but in different order?

I'm sure you would do well at the local corner store selling cigs & lottery tickets where your police aptitude knowledge and skill would apply and come into play when getting robbed by some 8 year old taking chips off the rack and running away, what would you do shot them first & call 911 or the other way around, would you do your syllogisms as well? What a loser!
Take what you can get & have use it to the best of your ability...it's called resources, tools what ever you can

Honesty and Integrity is what it is all about to becoming a police officer. If you have to cheat to get to where you are then you are just fooling yourself. Your fake.

And I've been an auxiliary member of the Toronto Police. If the Police ever find out your lying or corrupt by protecting other officers in any circumstance whatsoever you can bet your gonna be suspended.

I'd think about a career change buddy. Because you won't last long as a dirty cop.

Man I cant get over all the immature ppl on this site!!!
I totally agree after reading the posts on this site the last few weeks with the cops and recruiting officers when they say that the age and level of maturity of candidates that are applying is ALOT lower than it has been in the last 3 yrs...and that is clearly to blame the for the age at which a person enters post secondary and than graduates. If you figure you leave high school now at 17 than 2 years of college for most who take Police Foundations that puts you at 19 and at this age most ppl have not experienced anything of any merit and are obvioulsy more concerned with making fun of ppl. It just amazes me and "another perfect candidate" examplifies my point exactly!!!

Just so you know Dude, Deryk is right when he tells you that if they find out that you cheated your way thou the process than depending on the stage at which they find out than for sure you'll be Disciplined in one way or another. It would suck to get all the way thou the process and than have them turn around and tell you that they arent going to offer you employment because you cheated (thats Honesty and Integrity something they look for when hiring!!!!!) The way recruiting officers see it is that since its a competitive process there will be other candidates who understand what it really takes to be a police officer...and by not letting you in wont hinder their force in anyway.

Its ture, trust me Ive know known ppl that that has happened too and now they are having a hell of a time getting in anywhere...So for what its worh I hope that your not asked the questions about Honesty and Integrity in the ECI b/c your idea of the 2 do not exsit and if you are able to get that far you;ll know exactly what Deryk is saying!!!!

I think the math boils down to a perfect match for money......rolling in the green.........you are to young to be accepted to an actual force- ie 21-25yrs, but have the math abilities.....and the older candidates, have the experience, but not the grasp on math.....hmmmm....= older candidates keep re writing....younger candidates expire and have to re write.......all about the mighty buck................. :twisted:
