I recieved an e mail asking me where I was and what I was up to since I retired from EPS.
I have moved about 2 hours north of Edmonton into Lac La Biche Alberta. Check it out on the web. I am working at Portage College and am trying to set up a eight month program to help young people prepare for the Police Apllication process. We will be instructing in test preparation, writing skills, physical fitness, and surviving interviews. First aid and CPR we will give instruction on how to prepare for interviews etc. I think this will assist a large number of youth to be successful in persuing their dream Career. I am also going to be working with Police Prep selling advertising space to all the police agencies across Canada who want to explore the thousands out there who are members of our forum.
I still recieve the odd request from others in and out of Canada who are looking for information to assist with their process.
I still get into the forum and read a number of messages. It seems that throughout Canada there is a huge demand for Police Officers so with the program I am trying to develop I know we will have a large success ratio. I want to get thirty students in the program and ideally we have all thirty get hired. I anticipate the students should be half done their application process before they graduate. Yes I will advertise for students who want to enter our program through Police Prep and we will use Police prep material to guide us.
In a nut shell that is what I am doing and Thank you to the moderator for asking. I wish you all well and we will talk again. Remember Losing is not an option out there. Be in tip top physical fitness all the time.
