I got your personal message. I passed the WCT 2nd time around. I can't give you any specifics obviously, be as good as doing it for you. The main excuse I have is that I flew into Toronto late and was then kept up by a couple in the room next to me shagging all night. The next morning I was so tired I was brain dead. Saying that the test is a bit crap and overly pedantic. How can I say that? Cos I was a Police officer in the UK and although the test is relevant in one way it is also just a paper test and uses no other skills.

I passed the WCT 2nd time around. First time I viewed the scenario slightly differently to the answer required. It really is possible to see the scenario in a slightly different light to the required answer.

My advice: practice the various tests on this site and mostly remember the format required: time, date etc. Draw a picture and label it correctly. Create an image of the scenario in your head of the various components and the way it occured. Compose everything chronologically and systematically. Use correct spelling, punctuation and appropriate language. Work fast, don't look around the room, concentrate.

The time goes really quickly. I think it is 45 mins (did it a while back can't quite recall time given). I spent half the time planning and prep, the other half the time I actually wrote the actual material.

Don't worry about it you will be cool. Its a job at the end of the day and not life or death. You will have more fun at the interview stage. Hopefully you don't get the arshole who interviewed me.

Argh! missed an 'e' off arsehole. Careful, with 2000 applicants for a few hundred jobs you can get failed for that sort of error. The process is pretty anal to say the least.

Ah, I thought so...thanks for the reply. I'm doing the test tomorrow....I guess I'll just have to use my superior intelligence to get it done!!! :shock:
