yes i re-tested for all 3 tests and i feel confident that i passed this time around. What do you mean by you are good for another 6 months? If you passed aren't you up for the BPAD now? I'm confused . Lemme know whats up :)
Im sure that you passed than writing all 3 in the day definitely makes for one long day!! haha I only had to re-certify my physical b/c it expires every 6 months..I already have my OACP certificate so now im good to go til nov again....
Keep me up to date if ya passed and GOOD LUCK i'll keep my fingers crossed!! LOL

its really annoying that the physical component expires every 6 months even AFTER you receive your OACP certificate. Just another money grab in my books...but hey...we gotta do what we gotta do. What force do you plan on applying to?...i'm wanting to go for the Ottawa Police...its close to home (montreal). Waiting for the results in the meantime here and its killing me...

I disagree alittle bit with regards to the PREP expiring after 6-months. A person that gets his OACP Certificate then stops working out or running - can get \"FAT\" pretty quickly depending on the person.

A person who is obviously overweight would most probably not get hired come interview time and besides, a person can get \"fat\" in 3 months even...doesn't take very long to put on the pounds when you neglect a proper diet and exercise regimen....in addition, thin doesn't necessarily mean fit either. I understand that they want to ensure a certain standard however, and i do see your point as well.

There are good points to argue for both points. A friend of mine worked out for 3-months prior to his testing - passed - and never touched another weight or treadmill; until he got hired. Fact of the matter was he gained 12 pounds - and depending on your current build - 12 pounds can make you look better or worse at the interview process - but I know that if they asked him to do the PREP at the Interview he would have failed miserably.
The Rules and Regulations are governed by the O.A.C.P - and ATS is just doing what they are told. Can't blame the testing facilities for the rules.
Just my 2-cents.............
Hey raustin i applied to Ottawa as well as a few others and Im currently waiting for my psych with ottawa.. i have to wait thou for my NEW ceritifcate to be mailed before that can happen...it sucks waiting but hell in the end it sure will be worth it..HOPEFULLY that is..LOL

hi bverspeeten....just curious if you happen to know why it is that we are not allowed to know the pass mark for the PATI.......while i'm in the ranting mood (lol) :) I mean i've heard that they higher and lower the pass mark depending on the organizational needs so i guess maybe thats why they don't give it out cuz its constantly changing?....I dunno...but one thing i do know is that after dishing out 300 bucks the least they could do is supply me with a more detailed letter of results. It would be nice to know what my score was on /90 even without giving me the pass mark, just so i know if i completely bombed or if i did relatively ok. Instead they just send me a letter telling me that i either met or did not meet the standard for the PATI. It would be MUCH more helpful if we could get our scores on each section...then atleast we would know where we stood in terms of marks. I re-tested about a week ago and i feel pretty confident that i did well this time around....i guess i'm just ranting for all the first timers who will perhaps have the same frustrations that i had at the beginning. It just seems very wrong to me that they are not required to disclose the passing mark nor my results in a more detailed fashion especially since i am paying for this. What do you think?

First - I agree that providing a overall mark - would give you a better perception of how well or how well you did not do on the testing - but those are the rules and we just have to follow them.
The Rule could be set that way for any number of reasons from it does not matter what you received because you passed or failed - I also heard that the passing mark went up or down depending on Ontario's requirement and providing a mark would open issues about Mark received 60% and failed three months ago and John received 59% and passed at present date. The other reason could be that they want you to guess - and work as hard as you can to reach 100% rather than knowing that a 70% is a pass and previously you got 69% so you don't really have to work much more to get that extra 1%.
For anyone that is looking at writing the PATI - I suggest moving through all the tests - randomly - so you don't memorize the questions - always work out the math problems in long form - and get a Tutor if you are having even alittle trouble. That is what I did and I passed all stages and now have my O.A.C.P. Certificate.
While I am on a little rant - I think that the people even \"guests\" that submit the WCT and actual PATI questions are not too bright. Even though you are not logging into a username with your personal history - I can guarantee that PolicePrep or phpbb software tracks IP Address's. If someone from the O.A.C.P. or Applicant Testing saw these tests on the forum - I guarantee they would not treat the breaking of your confidentiality agreement lightly and you could say good-bye to a career in policing.
Just my 2 cents....................

Thank you for your insight bver. I appreciate the time you have taken to respond to my posts :) I definetly agree with you when you say that the folks posting test answers should really watch their backs cuz you never know who is watching and its not such a good idea...besides...if you need to cheat to pass these tests you should really re-examen your suitability in policing, especially since the two most important personality traits are integrity and honesty..both which are lacking in these particular individuals if you ask me. They key is to study and work hard, it's as simple as that.
