I'm not registered for it, but I just took the 3 tests in Oshawa. I did not pass the PATI but feel more confident now. You have any questions?
So how did it go for you? I mean, I still find the concept of having a written and a physical test on the same day kind of weird.
I'm sure everyone's situation is different, but would you mind telling what you felt confident about and ended up doing bad in?
Thanks!

So I guess we're doing the physical and the written on the same day? Because I notice some people on this forum have been saying they're doing theirs on separate days (not a re-test or anything).

I did the PATI WCT PREP and BPAD on the same day on June 4th in Thornhill ... difficult day but passed the lot... if you are doing well on the policeprep tests the PATI should be no problem.. the WCT well just relax and read through the scenario slowly making a list of important facts as you go.. the PREP not difficult at all if you have been training slightly it will be fine.. and the BPAD just be yourself and give common sense answers. i realise it is a tough day but it is passable

That is very strange completing Stage 1 and Stage 2 testing on the same day. I have never heard of anyone doing that - and is against O.A.C.P. Rules.
just an insight for all... i finished all tests and found that this site helps alot... the pati on test was actually easier than ones posted here...
bverspeeten... just for your info it is allowed, however only if you are travelling over 400 km to the test.. considering I travelled 5000 miles I guess I fell into that category.. the only way you can go on to do stage 2 on the same day is if you pass all stage 1 components first. There were 5 people in my group doing the same thing and if you speak with ATS they will advise you that this is the way it is done.

Guest - don't get your panties in a bunch. I was just stating what I was told by ATS and did not take into account the people that travelled a long distance. I know that when I wrote my PATI there was a person that came from about 6 hours away - drove to Toronto the night before and only wrote his PATI, WCP, and PREP and had to wait the standard 10 days for the results just like everyone else. I never saw any BPAD equipment there that day at all.
Just my 2-cents................

ATS can make exceptions - I will be doing all of my testing June 25th because my local police service just advertised an opening - but applications need to be in by July 11/2005.
They are very professional and very helpful.
Hopefully I will pass everything
I have been struggling with the shuttle run - I can get just above 5.5. I have been running every day for the past month and can do the 1.5mile in 12 minutes. Apparently I may not be doing it appropriately....so hopefully I will be able to just push myself that extra little bit.

Dont worry about the prep defaz, you wil be surprised at how far you can push yourself, especially when most pepole there are able to do it, you just push yourself to stay with them and before you know it your at 6.5. Just remember that if you are practising with the beep test, that ATS starts at 0 where as the beep MP3 test starts at 1, so it is an extra point. Good luck and i will see you there

I got a copy of the beep test from my old high school (It's nice being able to call in favors) so it starts at 0.
I really hope I can make it to 6.5. It's only 8 more beeps. And yeah, having those other people there will hopefully get me to push it that extra bit.
I'm taking today off and being lazy, just loading up on carbs likes crazy lol

Hey way to go!! Congrats, I feel bad for anyone that was going the prep that day. It was so hot in the gym, way to go.....

Thanks. Yeah, that was insanely brutal.
Time did you do your prep at? I finished teh WCT before 12. Then we waited for like 2.5 hrs before even starting the prep - it was brutal.
You'd think for $300.00 we could at least be in A/C!

Hey Dude, it's Elliott. Congrats on your results man.
I collapsed right after the shuttle run. The 2.5 hour wait in that \"sauna\" didn't help things.
Best of luck in getting the position in your town!

Haha....Sauna is right!!
I hit the ground right after getting to 6.5 lol. I was ready to pack it in at 5.0 but the girl int he lane beside me and the girls from ATS kept pushing me and really helped motivate me.
Congrats to everybody there who passed the fitness testing.....damn that was a hot building!
