I passed!!! and failed!!!

I passed the PATI, thanks Police prep!!!
I was hitting between 80% - 95% on the practice tests and I have studied for just over a month every other day. It would not be easy without this site.

I also passed the PREP, but failed the WCT, which I have already booked again for June 28.

Any tips for practicing the WCT,other than the tests on this site would be appreciated.

Well I did the opposite, I passed the WCT and PREP but was unsuccessful on the PATI.

Remember to watch your spelling, remember the K.I.S.S (Keep it simple stupid) rule. You should be ok the next time.


I was scoring as you did on the PATI but not sure what went wrong. Did you just study on the police prep web site only?
Maybe it was because I memorized to many of the questions on
police prep and scoring went up as a result.
You have any tips for the PATI?

Memorizing the tests on Police prep is what I was afraid of as well.
When I did the tests on here I would be getting done within 70-75 minutes, compared to 85 minutes that it took me to do the actual ATS PATI.

Some of the sections of the test are obviously more time consuming than others, but I always try to keep up with the time. So if I am doing question 50,I want to be at about 50 minutes or less. If you can buy more time by doing the easy questions first, you will propably be more relaxed for the time consuming ones and won't have to rush through them.

As far as the WCT goes....Well English is my second language,and I was concerned a lot about the grammar aspect more than anything else and I did not figure out what happened in the given scenario untill almost the end. All the scenarios on Police prep were so easy and I have never had any problems solving those. I just hope that I pass the second time around, but I am not sure what to do what to better myself.

Oh I almost forgot, yes Police prep was the one and only source for my studies.

Could anyone give me suggestions on the best way to approach the next next?

Again, I was getting 80 to 90% on all the practice on this site. I just found the actual test more difficult.

for me it worked like this: write down all the facts in a list on your scrap-paper. For example if there is an accident, and there are a few cars involved, write down "pink car", later you might get the damage on that car, or the number plates. Write it all together, get the facts in an order to create a picture what happened. Make a sketch, try to visualize the scenario.....

The actual tests are in fact longer then the ones on Police Prep, but if you stay calm, it is enough time. Double check grammar and spelling after you are done. English is my second language as well, and I finished the WCT in just over 50 minutes without to hurry.

Yes, I just went straight through the test, I should have done the easy ones first. I was doing good on the syllongism on this site, but I think I rushed it on the actual test. Mapping was difficult too, not sure if it was the nervousness I had doing the first test...hmm

Make sure you write a conclusion! A few of the people I wrote with who failed said they were told they didn't write the conclusion.

I wrote this week with OPP and the recruiters were great about giving the instructions and making sure everyone understood.
