Hi everyone,

I've got my prep coming up this week and although I have no problem passing the prep/shuttle run, I am somewhat worried about the blood pressure test. I've always had a slightly higher BP although I am in good physical condition (I don't know if it is just when I get my actual BP taken that it raises or if its constant).

Does anyone know if they allow a doctors note saying I can still run with a slightly higher PB?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Ticker,

with a "slightly higher" blood pressure you will still meet the standards. The blood pressure must be lower then 144/94, which is quite high anyways.....

Not sure what happens if you are above that, call the recruiters and ask.\

Good luck,

Jan

Ok I'm looking at my ParQ, I would answer no to all questions. But how will my doctor filling out the ParQ let CSS know that I can still participate if my BD is high?

Its the ParmedX form you want the doctor to fill out, not the ParQ. On the ParmedX there is a check box for other. I wrote in "White Coat Syndrome" had my doctor fill it out and sent it off to ATS. There is a description of the test in the form which the doctor has to sign off that you are ok to complete it. Its one less than to worry about on test day.
