Hi Mate, I dropped out of school at the end of year 10 and did uni study later on as an adult student and I passed. The questions are not that hard its the time your fighting and the amount of questions you answer and get right. from what I can remember most of the math questions all came back to fractions in some way or another so brash up things like, halves, quarters, fifths and so on 1/2 1/3 1/9 and number patterns, 97, 85, 79, ?, 61= 67 ie, the difference or 9, 3, 1, 1/3, ?, = 1/9. Also understand decimals. Look at this web site, www.hubpages.com/hub/Wonderlic-Personnel-Test-Questions

thanks for that..yeah i dropped out at the end of year 10 also and am currently at uni but not using math skills so there a tad bit rusty!! Do the exams cover any memory??? Like remembering numbers that are read out then u have to write them down?? There is a part in the qld prep exams on this but I have not seen any comments on here about that so I didn't want to waste time studying something not on the actual exam. Cheers again :)

No, there is no memory tests, so don't waste your time doing them, just go over the types of questions that a wonderlic has so you know what to expect. The most important thing is not to waste time on questions you know you don't know or that will take you to long to work out.
I also used a plank piece of paper to cover the other questions so I didn’t get distracted and could focus on what I was doing and answered in the right box, with 1 1/2 minutes to go I got rid of the paper and went for any multi choice question I could see and answered it. At the end I had got up to question 40 and only missed a few.
Also read what they are asking you and how they are asking you to answer. There are a few questions that ask you to rearrange a sentence and answer if it is true or false or to answer with the last letter of the last word, if you answer with the whole word, not the letter you get it wrong. Attention to detail!
On another part of testing that is un-timed, you will be asked to write a short essay in response to a question, like, why do you want to be a cop or something like that, they don't care what you write, they just want to see if you can read, write and spell. What I did was write something around 500 words long (a4 size) over and over and over again until I had it memorised and just changed it to suit the question, this way I knew what I was writing, I could spell everything and I had the correct punctuation.

thanks heaps for that I really appreciate it. Learning the essay over and over is what I do for any uni exams that are formatted that way so that should be no problem...especially when I'm usually trying to remember six not one!! I only sent my application in about two weeks ago but I have done my medical and beep test so I fast tracked it..now I'm just waiting and practicing the exams with fingers crossed. I enrolled in my next term of uni today and once that starts I'm going to have to really put my head down to keep on top of it and the practice exams. I just want this to all go smoothly... I have worked so hard over the last couple of years to prepare for this and I'm on the edge of my seat wanting to take the next step then the next till I'm in!! Thanks for any help smillie77 it means alot...cheers

no worries mate, I know what its like, just try and keep out of trouble, don't pee in public, get locked up for being drunk and keep to the speed limit, as a speeding ticket could see an exclusion of 3 years put on you and 5 years for peeing.
Good luck and feel free to send me an email with any other questions.
