Hello,

When writing the PATI, are you allowed to have or ask for a blank sheet of paper to write on? For instance when you start writing the test, would you be able to write down the syllogism formats, for reference?

M-D AAAA EEEE IIII OOOO
Q-M AEIO AEIO AEIO AEIO
Q-D AxIx ExOx xxxx xxxx

D-M AAAA EEEE IIII OOOO
Q-M AEIO AEIO AEIO AEIO
Q-D xExO ExOx xxxx xxxx

M-D AAAA EEEE IIII OOOO
M-Q AEIO AEIO AEIO AEIO
Q-D IxIx OxOx Ixxx Oxxx

They give you scrap paper. You can write anything you want on it. Obviously you can't bring your own and write it out ahead of time.

PATIy+9=27

While the sylabilism formula is back on the top of the conversation... could anyone explain this formula a little clearer than it was the last time it was up? I get it up to the AAAA ...AEIO part, I am really confused about it ----and not to add more to my plea for help ... I'm testing in 5 days, so if I get my head around this before the test it will really help....

I write on the 28 too in Smiths Falls?? i have never seen that format before but good luck with that...i figure one out that works for 95% of the questions......you break the question into 4 sections........for instance

If all promotions given are due to extensive testing.
And all extensive testing is to create equality in the workplace.

your A is promotions
your B is extensive testing
your C is extensive testing
your D is equality in the workplace
with that you can do this........

If the question part looks like

ALL
ALL

then your ans will be the answer that looks like

Then ALL A are/is D

If the question part looks like

NO
ALL

then your ans will be the one that looks like

Then SOME A are NOT D

if the question looks like

SOME
ALL

then your ans will be the one that looks like

Then SOME D IS A

and if your question looks like

NO
SOME

then your ans will look like one of 3 answers (i know this one sucks)

then SOME A is NOT D
then SOME D is NOT A
then SOME C is NOT A

they all work great except for the last one......a little iffy on that one......but when you look at the question you should be able to narrow it down.....hopefully!!!

Anyone else who reads this, Let me know what you think and if you guys have any other ideas about any different ways to do thing........email me....don't check here a lot

Would that work with

Baseball players or cricket players will use the field.
Sean is a baseball player and will be using the field.

or

If found guilty, Kevin will be sent to jail.
No one is going to jail.

Actually, your method doesn't work with questions 61 and 64 on Test 1.

Not very reliable so far

those two questions are a different kind than the ones i have placed here.....those two are

EITHER OR questions

so you first one

Baseball players or cricket players will use the field.
Sean is a baseball player and will be using the field.

so with this baseball OR cricket use the field
and Sean is baseball uses the field

therefore Cricket does not use the field

2nd one

If found guilty, Kevin will be sent to jail.
No one is going to jail.

if Kevin is guilty he goes to jail
no one (kevin) is going to jail

if no one is going that means Kevin is not going......

therefore Kevin is NOT GUILTY

61 for test 1 wasn't on my list of explanations but i explained that after and you are correct for 64 so then never mind about the whole thing.....just ignore it all

So, you don't think it's reliable either?

I've found a few more too.

That sucks, I was hoping this would do the trick

i'm not saying its reliable.....it works for me.....my syllogism mark skyrocketed from the first few times i did time......i know can avg a 90% on them whereas before i was avg a 30%

go try my theory out on the practice syllogism test and let me know what you get?

I tried and I noticed your theory does not have any Some/Some, and I noticed that 2 of the others were wrong using your method.

Oh well, I'll keep trying
