Hello,

Hypothetically.....

If I went through the testing process and the interviewing process and was basically hired...

What would happen if I was hired now (October) and Aylmer's Police College didn't start until January? Would I continue in my current job, or would something else happen?

Hope I was clear enough with my question.

You would continue with your job until the Pre-Alymer Training Started with your Police Force. Most Police Forces have a 2-Week Session prior to Alymer and another 4-Week Session after the College.

Thanks...........

BUt, would your current employer want you around knowing full well that you won't be there in the near future?

Just curious

It depends on how your employer depends on you!

You could always hold off in telling them until closer to the date you leave for Aylmer. Give them a chance to find a replacement, and time for you to train them before you leave (if that's an option).

Question for you now: From start to finish, the whole process ... how long does it take to get to the interview stage- provided you pass every step?

It all depends on who you are - especially age (around 27 is avg.)

But it can take from as little as 6 weeks to getting hired all the way up to 12 years

Sometimes it can take 3-4 weeks ;)

It really depends on the force. With the smaller forces it seems to take less time - while with the larger forces from LFI to Contract could take 3-6 months depending on the complexity of your life.
