Going along with the question does size matter, i suppose to be gender specific, Im asking the question do looks matter?, now I am totally not being conceded I feel I am average looking, but alot of the cops I deal with at work, say Im too pretty and I will never get hired, because no one will respect me. *I dont think so*, but I have recieved this comment from quite a few of the older officers, and was wondering if anyone has heard of some sort of descrimination based on looks.

If that were the case you would never been told that through the process - and would be turned away for other reasons. Lets be honest - it is not a perfect world and if the recruiters don't like your haircut - your size - your weight - your overall look - they do not need to pass you to the next level.

Just my opinion.............

who's to say that everyone thinks you are \"pretty\". People have different tastes, so not everyone will find you attractive. If older cops say you are \"pretty\" they are obviously flirting, as many older men like to do with young women ( i assume you are female)

And sometimes looks can be to an advantage once the interview process is complete that is if you have the brains and the qualifications to go along with it. they are not going to overlook you if you are attractive especially if you are qualified for the job.

when people take care of themselves and look good proof shows they can get more respect and demand attention

that's just my opinion
