Any1 pass the PATI and not the WCT ?

I just got my results in a couple of days ago, good and bad.
I passed the PATI but didnt do so good on the WCT. I kinda knew the outcome but was crossing my fingers and praying that I passed the
WCT too, I guess I just got too excited or paniced a bit, and once I had all my facts on the fact sheet, i just didnt know where to begin, need to be more organized on my next attempt I guess.
I didnt find the PATI all that difficult, considering I only learned about this site just five weeks prior to my test date.

Any advise on the WCT..... anyone???

A.D what was the PATI like? how was the math and problem solving section? were their alot of long division, percentage questions? also what are your views on the matching and classifcation sections? were they easier on the actual pati compare to this site?

The actual PATI isnt as hard as the ones on this site, this site makes them difficult, to prepare you better for the real thing.
The word problems are short and easy to understand, the classifications and figur series are easier to distinguish, however the Syllogisms I still had a hard time with, the math was o.k. but then again I signed up with a tutor for 6 lessons just to refresh my memory....all in all I thought it was easier than this site. But I still gotta thank the ppl who came of with Policeprep.com It helped alot.

i did the same thing. passed the pati but failed the wct. i know everyones going to jump all over me for saying but I would have liked the practice exams on this site to more accurately reflect the actual test. having said that let the onslaught begin.

I have to agree with you guy?s. Eveyone say?s the actual PATI is easier than the Police Prep examples, so why not make the WCT as hard or even harder.

Hello, Just wondering why the WCT is so hard or why many people don't do well on it? is the amount of time given?/actuall senerio?..can anyone tell me why they had difficulties with WCT?

to some degree it may be because we have a chance to prepare so well for the pati on this site and no chance at all to prepare for the wct because the tests on this site make it look like some little thing that should be no problem. if i had know going in the wct was about 10 times longer and all garbled facts i would have more fully prepared. but of course this is my fault. but you would think that policeprep would want to prepare you totally. If anyone from policeprep reads these posts, could you tell us why this site contains such poor examples of the wct?

The WCT on this site is only to guide you. Its purpose is to give you an example of what you would be up against at your individual testing time. Its helps you build the skills needed to do the WCT. I believe people have the wrong idea about this site. This site is designed to help generate the skills needed to to become prepared for the actual testing. Its purpose is not to take away from the difficulty of becoming an officer, but to give you an idea of the level of difficulty. If it was easy then everyone would make it to become a constable. If you can do the WCT on this site than you should be able to do the WCT in the test. Its a skill that has developed, and that skill should be able to be used in any length, big or small.

Remember, be prepared for anything through this process. Always be learning and developing your skills, that is a core competancy of becoming an officer.

well i thought that the two hundred dollars i paid to the makers of this site would have at least bought me a wct example that reflected the actaul test. sadly, for all the new people joining the site the first time they have an indication that the wct on this site is nothing like the one on the actual test is when the first sit to do it with ats or whom ever they first test with. to say that some of us may have misunderstood what this site was developed for says that maybe the makers of the site should have been more clear.

Since I have not written the test yet I am only going by the info and replys to the threads. It sounds to me that this is not an example of the true WCT test. If it was a true example then make it that way. Just my two cents. I will be writting mine in mid December so I will have a better idea what everyone is talking about. Yet I have fully prepared for the WCT by using the practice tests here on the site. Wish me luck

I was looking at the WCT forum and noticed that the administrator had responded to the WCT question. They gave everyone really good advice pertaining to the WCT. If you follow there advice I think you will be okay. Thank you Policeprep for your input.
