Hopeful

I have a question regarding my resume submission to Durham.
On the application form they ask for us to fill out they have these 2
questions:
1. Have you ever been convicted of any criminal offence for which a pardon has not been granted or issued?
2. If you were previously convicted under a federal statute, have you been granted or issued a pardon; or in the event of a discharge related to a finding of guilt, have the records sealed by the RCMP?
Here is my question: I had a Drinking and Driving offence 10 years ago. I received a pardon a few years back.
I know that in question 1 I answer NO.
But for question 2 I am not sure. They give you N/A, Yes or NO as possibilities.
I am not afraid to tell them the truth, but I was hoping that I could tell them in person instead of having to disclose that on a piece of paper.
To be honest I didn't think it was legal to ask that type of question.
I know these forms aren't mandatory for resume submission, but I do know they have to be filled out sooner or later.
Any experience with this?
Thanks
