I was contacted 2 weeks ago from a retired Sgt who is doing my background. He just wanted to give me a heads up that my background check had started and he would be contacting everyone.
Well on Friday he called again, he is finished, and now he wanted to meet with me. He dropped by on Saturday, and started questioning me!!
Man, I wasn't prepared for that - so I am just warning everyone else - get ready for it ...
Now I am rethinking everything I said, and wondering if how much of a impact it will have in the whole scheme of things. Ye-gads, I could have done 100 times better.

I am going through the process right now with Ottawa Police Service.
The part that shocked me the most is that I haven't heard of any police service attending your house as part of the background. When the Sgt. called, I was expecting him to come in and tell me how I did, and to ask for clarification of what others may have said during their questioning about me. Instead of what I was expecting, I had to sit down with 2 retired officers and answer detailed questions. I just wasn't in the right mind set !!
As for the questions, they were a mixture of \"why\" questions and scenerios - what would you do if ... pretty much a combination of the LFI and ECI questions.
On a comedical note: picture this .... my dogs are rough housing and tearing the kitchen apart, my cats are climbing all over the officers licking them, and I am trying to answer a question about \"stress\" - try concentrating with all that mess!! Ye-gads!

Someone posted about coming to their house for an interview...all I know is I haven't passed all the tests yet and I am already thinking about cleaning my house...I am sure you did fine
Keep us posted ok..
