Hello Out there
I am think of doing the PATI test some time in March. I am really unsure as to who I should write with. I have be told by people that ATS is not is shaddy company, I also heard they mark harder on the WCT. What is better OPP or ATS.
Also what is the pass rate on the PATI, is it fair to say it has a 50% pass rate, is it harder then the GATB? Is six weeks long enough to prepare?

I am not knocking this web site, but I also heard the real test is very differnt then the police prep practice tests. Is this a fact?

Can some please shed some light on these questions.

Windsor 1: ATS and OPP both do the standard testing to their requiremens. ATS tends to have a lot more people during the testing, OPP is smaller - you should ask yourself what environment would be better for you and use that to make your decision as to which one you should go with.

The pass rate - if you are meaning how many people pass in each testing then I can tell you in my testing with OPP, there were 15 doing the tests - only 2 of us walked out with a pass. BUT, if you mean what is the passing mark - unknown by all except the recruiters.

6 weeks to prepare - depends on how smart, and how fit you are .... what are your marks on the site tests, and are you in great shape?

I can tell you that the actual PATI is set up the same as this site. I found some sections more difficult and some sections less difficult on the actual test. I think the reason why I found it more difficult was the nerves more than anything.... I have to thank this site for my success - BIG TIME prepared as a result of doing these site tests.

Are you in Windsor? If you are I would say go with the OPP testing. I did the ATS testing a few months ago and the way ats had it set up there were far too many people, absolutely no breaks for lunch or even a drink. you couldn't bring in a drink of your own. the test was too early in the morning with too many people registering.all in all you were expected to be there by seven in the morning just to register and if you got through the prep you left by 3:30. No lunch no drinks. It is hard enough to pass the prep without hunger and dehydration to worry about LOL. I have not done it through the OPP but based on my ATS experience I would say try the OPP. Now having said that the next post will be some guy telling me to suck it up. Regardless, good luck

Guest is probably right as ATS is really BIG from what I have heard... I did OPP, and the group was really small, but that being said I only had a 10 minute break between the 2 PREP tests - I think ATS has more time between them ... than again, I may be wrong.

And ... having said that the next post will be someone saying ... \"SUCK IT UP\"

I just did my test with ATS last week...LOL...exactly what the last 2 posts said I went through. I had to be there by 7am and i think there must have been at least 120 people at the testing site for PATI, WCT. Everything was all crammed in. After that test we had to report to another building for the PREP which had even more people because I guess people are renewing their PREP. I didn't eat nothing since my morning breakfast. All I had was a drink before the PREP. Everything was over by 3:30pm. I managed to suck it all up..LOL. If I were to do this thing over I would probably apply with a police service (OPP, Toronto) for testing because I'm sure the numbers are smaller and you get time in between.
