Hi all,

I took the PATI,WCT PREP BPAD and Vision/Hearing recently and I have passed the PATI, WCT and PREP. (Still awaiting results for the Bpad). I did however fail the Vision exams. I have recently gone back to my Optometrist and they have certified that my vision meets the 20/40 standard unaided however I have only just scraped through as it was quite tough to read the line for me. Does anyone know if vision is tested again during the medical phase with most forces? It seems that my eyesight is borderline so I am concerned that on another day e.g when tired I could not pass. Any help greatly appreciated.

Finally I sat the exams in the last couple of weeks, the police prep questions were excellent and really aided in preparation for the exams. I thoroughly recommend them to everyone.

Congrats!
For the vision test, do they test each eyes or both at the same time?

They test both at once. I'm not sure really what was going on during the ATS tests as the equipment is very basic and unfortunately the operator was having problems with it.

Essentially they refer you to your own optometrist if there is any doubt. You need to be able to read 20/40 on a snellen chart if you wear glasses (unaided i.e without) and 20/20 with them on. 20/40 is still very good eye sight so it appears that if you have any sort of prescription you will unlikely have good enough unaided eye sight (my prescription is -1.5 and i'm borderline

Thanks for the heads up! Goodluck with your journey to become a P.O.

Best bet is to talk with the recruiter, won't hurt to ask.
