I'm a professional photographer/digital artist (\"Photoshop Guru\" if you will) :), who is revisting my interest in policing. I was first interested in becoming a police officer when I was in college. However, at that time, I was 5'5\", 210 LBS! I wasn't exactly in the best shape of my life. ;) Since then, I've graduated college, been out in the working world for 6 years, and am now 135 LBS. (I lost all my weight about 3 years ago and have been able to keep it off).
I've been working out with a personal trainer since the end of February to get ready for the P.R.E.P. What I would like to know is, I've never done any community service or volunteer work. I was just curious if my computer geekiness and photography skills are something the police service covets? Once hired on (fingers crossed), I'd love to get into the forensics side of things. Forensic photography, digital imaging, etc.
Just curious if anyone knows if these skills alone are going to get me further than the first interview. :p
