If I'm correct their are eight essential competencies. They are as follows:
1. Analytical Thinking
2. Self-Confidence
3. Communication
4. Flexibility/Diversity
5. Self-Control
6. Relationship Building
7. Achievement Orientation
8. Medical/Physical Skills and Abilities
These are the ones listed on Policeprep and they also have Developmental Competencies listed. Would a police force ask both competencies or just the essential because they figure we would learn the developmental ones.
