Hey there folks. I am not looking for answers, but information on the the psych test. I have heard people write a test, and some people actually have an interview with a doctor.

Any information on this process would be much appreciated.

Yes there are people who meet with the doctor, in fact its common and many move on with no problem. I know a guy who was called by the doctor and they just went over why he answered some questions a certain way. Basically just finding out more information, he moved on with out any trouble. It?s nothing to worry about.

The best piece of advise I can give you is DON NOT TRY A TRICK THE TEST!!!!!!!!. Answer the question with the first thing that comes to mind. It?s not a hard test at all, in fact you laugh at some on the questions, but it is designed to weed you out if you try and foul it.

Just relax and be honest, its a breeze, and if you make it that far don?t be worried or ashamed to discuss things with the doctor

Sounds good. I still have to pass my BGI, however, that it is the next step in the process. I am just worried because I have heard stories of the doctor getting in your face trying to get a desired reaction. I agree that being honest is crucial as well. I am just so excited at the fact that I have made it this far, and that I know I must pass a few more tests and then hopefully I will have achieved my goal of becoming a Police Officer. It's nerve racking!

Metaxa, I was in about a week or so before I got a call from my BGI. She called me because she wanted some more stuff.

I have not been in it for long. None of my references have been contacted yet. Again, I am expecting the process to take around a month, depending on how busy they are, and I can assure you that with the huge intake they are expecting, it will most likely take some time. My advice? Sit back and relax. We can be proud we have made it this far, and hopefully, we have been honest and shall move to the next stage.

One point in my mind is my past addresses. I have lived in numerous places through out college and the years after, mainly moving to more affordable places in better neighbor hoods - and I do not know the exact dates that I lived at certain addresses. I did not have any problems with neighbors or anything with land lords.

Anyway, best of luck to you - and Mex - I advise letting your references know that you used them, as mentioned, so there is no surprise.

Thanks testing123, I let everyone know, im just sitting here waiting... im sure you will do fine, I think as long as you listed all your addresses where you lived previously you should be fine, im sure if your off a bit on the dates they wont penalize you, I think if you didnt mention that you lived at an adress for 2-3 years that might raise an issue for concern.

All the best!
