how do you know if your deffered?

hi, i wrote the rpab in august of 2006, and after handing in my polygraph questionaire i was informed of some things in the past that were conflicting. they told me that i would have to wait a yar to reapply. It didnt actually say in the letter from them that i was "deffered" it said my file has been closed without further evalution and that i can reapply in one from the date of this correspondence. I was told that if i was "deffered" that my test score would be good for 5 years and i could wait my time and carry on with the process.

anyone know if i am deffered or if i have to start from scratch again?

I believe "deferred" and "closed file" are the same thing. Your test scores are likely fine and you can pick it up from there.

You were deferred. Technically, you can reapply a year from when you received that letter. I can also say though, that if they felt you provided inconsistent info you will be very hard pressed to make it through again. They have reason to believe that you lied or mislead them. Does not matter how well you do next time.

hi, thanks for the reply. The constable in charge of my file made sure to tell me that my honesty and integrity were not being questioned. It came down to me applying when i had only been 2 years without previous drug use, She said they have a policy of 3 years. That was the deciding factor. At no time did i try to lie at all, i was 100% honest, she said to just wait some more time and try to reapply. At this point im wondering, do i need to go write the exam again.
