Passed with Toronto... Failed with Durham

So I find this a little weird.

I passed both LFI and ECI with Toronto on Monday.....

Had my LFI and ECI with Durham today... failed the ECI.

I thought the ECI went better than the LFI and I passed that part.

Weird... I used the same scenarios for both ECI's with Toronto and Durham. I thought they were also quite complete scenarios.

Toronto was a much nicer interview ... they seemed happy to meet me... many encouraging words from others officers in the building. Durham was cold and somewhat rude. I could never finish a sentence without being cut off. I felt that I never got to answer the questions in the LFI completely.

Oh well... I guess I will do my MMPI with Toronto and see where I go from there. (Is it unusual to wait over a month for the MMPI... I am not scheduled for it until the end of March - which makes me believe that I will not make the April class if successful.)

i thought that if a candidate passes an ECI with one force and then later fails with another force they MUST wait the mandatory 3 month waiting period after failing an ECI?
(thats what a recruiter told me)

I passed the Toronto one first... so it doesn't matter if you fail with another force after that....

i have read on this site and a hamilton recruiter stood and the front of the room and said that to about 25ppl.....

thats why i say that...


does toronto know you failed an ECI after passing there ECI?

i guess they wouldnt know until they look at your OACP cert.

Yes they are aware that I did not pass with Durham.

I also specifically asked them at the mentoring session what would happen if I was to fail with Durham after passing with Toronto... They said that it would not affect my hiring with Toronto because I passed with them first.... I asked because I never would have interviewed with Durham if it affected my previous results but I wanted to keep my options open.

If I had failed with Durham first I would not have been able to interview with Toronto. (That is why if you have two interviews coming up... try to get Toronto's first - That is what my recruiter told me.)

Does anyone know if you fail the interview with the OPP if it disqualifies you from taking another interview ...say with TO?
