LFI
Okay guys, i've done some reading it seems that the next class is for may 4th. I have an LFI to attend next week. Does anyone have any tips or advice that they would like to extend to me? I am very excited but nervous at the same time. I submitted back in november 2004 and i just heard from them now.
Thanks

Hey,
To me that seems like quite a bit of time to wait to get an LFI. Can you please let me know how old you are, education level, volunteer experience, etc.?
Sorry I can't give you much info on the LFI as I haven't started my process yet.
But I know that blueline.ca has some excellent threads pertaining to the LFI. If you haven't been on that site you might want to check it out
Hope that helps

the reason that i had to wait almost 5 months is because i submitted at the end of november and they had already picked out the 30 recruits for the winter batch from what heard. But this seems really "tight" to go through the process now if they send you out may 4/2005.
as for your question im 23, got college aducation and i have about 4 years of highschool volunteering as well.

I have a very good feeling that your not going to be sent for the may in take but you'r probably in the running since you scored the LFI for the intake that is the beginning of sept... BEST OF LUCK and KEEP us POSTED!!!
OH what force is the LFI for???

you wait that long...keep waiting, you didnt make it.
giving you the LFI now is a matter of formality to protect them selfs for future issues.
try the local grocery store they probably will hire you without an LFI!

Please remember that before the Police College you are sent on a 2-Week Training with the Department that you are hired. For Example: Toronto's started last week. The LFI that you are going for would be for the next OPC Class in September I believe.
