Looking at immigrating to alberta. also does anyone know how to speed up the immigration process?

no offense, but you will not speed up you application with immigration because you want to join up with a canadian police force. i will forwarn you edmonton has one of the hardest physicals in the country.
The EPS is really looking for experienced officers, so i would talk to a recruit officer in edmonton and see if they are able to help you at all with the process.
And although the physical aspect was pretty hard, it wasnt overly hard, as long as your in shape and you train on a regular basis, you will not have a problem passing. Especially for an experienced officer, you dont have to do all the same tasks that a civilian applicant has to do.

This only applies for Canadian Officers. International applicants have to go through the same recruitment process as everyone else (though usually condensed into 7-10 days). Once you get an offer of employment, the immigration process usually goes quick (by government standards). Having the promise of a job is a huge points boost in the immigration process.
