"Fast Track"

Hey all,

I have just sent off my application and I am hoping to get it fast tracked as I have done my beep test at the pcyc, done my first aid, have trade qualifications as well as a diploma and 2/3 years of a degree in criminology. Does anyone know how long the "fast track" option takes? I can't stay in my current job much longer, the guys I work with are the guys we would try to lock up and it's driving me crazy!!!! Also I am practicing the wonderlic test and the other couple of tests on the police prep website and I averaging between 70-80% for them, does that give a realistic demonstration of how
I would go on the real thing? One last question if I may, how long does it take for them to invite you to the psychometric testing after you apply? Thanks all, best of luck with your endeavors.

Welcome, where are you?

I fastracked in June last year and had an offer/ merit rating at the end of October last year.

I had 2 diplomas first aid, etc all done. SO that was 4-5 months all up.

I have heard others that have been much quicker as short as 2-3*
Months.

As others will tell you it depends on many thing... Not limited to:

References and responsiveness of said referees when asked to respond to recruiting.
History Checks and where you have live eg inter state jurisdictions or other countries (checks are longer).
Operational needs of recruiting, eg size of the pool of candidates to chose from.
criminal and traffic history.
Age
Domestic history eg when and where you have lived.

It is worthwhile checking out ALL posts under the "Australian Police" heading, on this same forum, there is dozens of pages of useful stuff,

Also check out "Police Academy" open group on Facebook. It also has stacks of info, with members aspiring, current and completed recruits.

Maybe I'll see you there, I am hoping for April as well.
