| Just a comment and nothing more. I just renewed my PREP on April 10-10 and already received my results yesterday. That was the quickest I have seen ATS move on the paperwork. Only 3 business days. |

That is amazing. Some times ATS has some level of competence.

| Yes I have. I submitted to Toronto in December-09 and still waiting for an interview or even for someone to call and say hello. |

you do know that there are only two times in your application process when you need to have a valid PREP?
1) when you submit you application
2) when you all the stages complete (interview, BG, Psych etc) when you are ready to be shipped to alymer.
don't give anymore money to ATS |

But I have seen others post that the recruiters want you to have from start to finish.
So are you saying I can let it expire if I have submitted my applications and not had an interview?

yes that is correct
you do NOT need a vaild PREP or any other ATS components until you are "almost" hired |

mind you....i'm talking about Toronto Police
i don't know about any other services |

I was told the same thing at the mentoring session for TPS, that you only need to have the Prep valid at 2 times during the process. However, I was told by my recruiter and then in my interview to update my PREP before it expires.

I realize I am resurrecting an old thread here....
I was just contacted by Niagara PS to begin their process - despite the fact that my PREP was valid when I applied (in May) - I was told that if my PREP had expired I would not be booked for an interview until I had renewed it.
...I guess you need to know what each service expects.

| OPP requires a valid prep at time of application and you will only get an interview if your PREP is valid. It must remain valid through til the end. |
