when you guys applied to Toronto Police Service did you use the typed form? I have tried it out and it seems like some of my words are getting cut off with Adobe.
Also it doesn't give me enough space to use for extensions of phone numbers or even where I can put in my First Aid expiriy date.
Did any of you run into this problem as well? and if so did you just use it anyways and hand it in like this?
thanks. |

| If all the info doesn't fit I wouldn't mix typed and written. Your application is part of your first impression on the service so if you have to write it all out neatly. |

Sure, I'll give you some feedback. Listen to Hummer. If Adobe isn't working for you, suck it up and handwrite the whole thing. _________________ Oct. 09 - Swimmin in the pool |

I come from a technical background of over 12 years so this is an easy one for me and it may be time consuming. You will need to save the PDF document to your computer and open the file with Adobe Writer. You can then edit the forms to adjust the text or move the field boxes to be in the correct position. The font/font size/auto font size in the required fields can be adjusted (default used is Times Bold @ 10pt). When you edit the fields, you will notice that the boxes supplied are not totally accurate and aligned properly but for the most part it's acceptable.
Second option and probably the slowest - Call TPS and have them examine the document and get them to make the corrections.
Third option and possible first - Use the Hand written application |

| I was at an open house for a service recently and they said that they preferred, actually required, the form to be filled out by hand with a pen - it gave them some good info about the individual applying. |
