|
|
Hi Everyone,
I will be putting in an application for the Queensland Police Service soon and I was hoping someone would be able to tell me what questions they ask in the panel interview and how many they ask you.
Regards

They expect you to give examples from your own personal experiences for all of the selection criteria questions they give you. Some of the ones I were given from memory were:
- What is integrity and how have you applied it in the way you conduct yourself (it is important you answer this properly). |

- <insert hypothetical situation here>, how would you expect police officers to handle this situation. (eg: determine possible reasons for violence, such as alcohol, minority group, etc. Determine whether they are armed, predict whether innocent people could be harmed, etc, etc).
- What are minority groups + give examples.
- What are some of the jobs you may encounter being a police officer. (eg: homicides, domestic disputes, car accidents, etc, etc).
That should be enough for you to get started. |

Everything they ask is pretty much here;

helped me HEAPS for the interview. When it comes to minorites they even class teenagers as minorites (srs), they gave me heaps of grief on that question. _________________ The price of anything is the amount of life you exchange for it." Henry David Thoreau |

I had a look at that post. Where he wrote "- Using an example from tertiary studies outline the process involved with assignment writing and the format of the completed assessment (not word for word, but that's the general gist)" do I take this to mean that I need to explain to them how to write a essay/report?

| Yep. EG: Title Page, Table of Contents, Intro, etc. Also make sure you mention that you would need to provide references and a bibliography. I think this question is to make sure that you can handle the academic side of Academy + Police work. |

Hi, I have testing and interview for QPS 24/25 June. Just wondering if anyone knows what type of question to expect for the literary component of the testing? I understand it is a short written resposne?? Also, do you lose marks for incorrect answeres in the pshycometric testing?
Thanks |

| "Why do you want to be a police officer?" and I don't think they count incorrect answers, but you'l be given a huge brief about the tests on the day anyways. |
