I'm not speaking for myself since I do have a University degree, and I haven't been hired yet, but you don't need post-secondary education. It's simply a life experience. Life experience and personal development comes in many forms. They want a variety of people from many backgrounds. Immigrating from another country, and your transition into Canada demonstrates life experience. Your working life also helps.

I, however, need the degree for life experience. I am in my mid-twenties, and basically just started my career a little while ago. I need the experience I attained from University.

I'm only 21 years old actually, who's in University of Waterloo, studying computer science.

However, I have to quit school for personal reason ... so I'm just worried if I'm wasting my time on this...

I do not have a degree or diploma, Im in my mid 20s and have a successful and respectable career that I started right out of high school. This career has given me plenty of life experience, I have travelled the world and seen things that a lot of people will never see. My point here is that everyone is different.

As for quitting school it may look bad to the recruiters as it shows that you cant see something through. Im sure if there is a good explanation it might be ok, but Im nopt a recruiter, this is just my 2 cents.

Goodluck!
