Averages Teaching Material

Instruction

An average is determined by adding up the sum of a set of digits and then dividing that sum by the number of digits that you have. For example the average for the following numbers is:

3, 7, 4, 10, 15, 9

Sum = 48

# of Digits = 6

Average = 48/6 = 8
