The 8 sections are: Working Memory, Vocabulary, Grammar, Applied Math, Police Logic, Problem Solving, Map Navigation, and Reading Comprehension. You need 65% to pass. Your score is valid for four years and applies to both Police Constable and Auxiliary Cadet applications.
The Winnipeg Police Service allows a maximum of five attempts at the written test. This includes both Constable and Auxiliary Cadet attempts combined — they count toward the same total. After a fifth failed attempt, you are deferred for life. No other major Canadian police written test has a permanent lifetime deferral. This makes strong preparation critical the first time.
