Frequently Asked Questions

Your Winnipeg Police program includes 5 full-length WPS practice exams covering all 8 sections — including the timed Memory Booklet component. You also get 30 reading and writing tests, 55 math practice tests, video-based behavioural scenarios, and written behavioural response practice. Every question comes with detailed answer explanations. Plus: teaching materials, interview prep guides, and fitness preparation resources. As a bonus, you receive free access to RCMP, Alberta (APCAT), Saskatchewan (SIGMA), Ontario (OACP), and B.C. (JIBC) practice tests.
The test has two parts. Book 1 is a Memory Component — you study a booklet for 5 minutes, then it’s taken away. Book 2 is the main written exam: 70 multiple-choice questions across 8 separately-timed sections, with 105 minutes total. The 8 sections are: Working Memory, Vocabulary, Grammar, Applied Math, Police Logic, Problem Solving, Map Navigation, and Reading Comprehension. You need 65% to pass. Your score is valid for four years and applies to both Police Constable and Auxiliary Cadet applications.
The Winnipeg Police Service allows a maximum of five attempts at the written test. This includes both Constable and Auxiliary Cadet attempts combined — they count toward the same total. After a fifth failed attempt, you are deferred for life. No other major Canadian police written test has a permanent lifetime deferral. This makes strong preparation critical the first time.
We’ll extend your membership or refund your money in full if you fail your written police exam after completing our practice tests. Submit your official test results within 15 days of receiving them. You must have a current account and have completed all relevant practice tests. Over 95%+ of our users pass, and we stand behind our program completely. See full guarantee terms.
You get full access for one year from the date you register. During that time, you can take every practice test as many times as you want with no limits. Most candidates feel fully prepared within 4 to 8 weeks, but you’ll have a full year to study at your own pace.
Our practice tests are built to match the Winnipeg Police Service written test format specifically. The Brandon Police Service uses a separate exam with a different structure and timeline. However, the core skills tested — vocabulary, reading comprehension, math, grammar, and problem solving — overlap significantly. Your account also includes bonus access to practice tests for the RCMP, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, and B.C.
Yes. We continuously work with police services and colleges to keep our content current. Our practice exams reflect the current Winnipeg Police Service written test format — the two-book structure with 8 timed sections, matching the format described in the WPS official Study Guide.
Yes. Our platform works on any device with a web browser including phones, tablets, laptops, and desktops. Study during your commute, on lunch breaks, or whenever you have a few minutes. Your progress is saved automatically across devices.
Your Manitoba program includes bonus access to practice tests for the RCMP, Alberta (APCAT), Saskatchewan (SIGMA), Ontario (OACP), and British Columbia (JIBC) at no extra cost. If you’re applying to multiple forces across Canada, you’re covered with a single account.
