Police attended 390 Oxford Street West on Friday, April 6 at 11:50 pm. James Kagen was bleeding from his nose and being administered to by an ambulance that was already on scene when police arrived. Paul Stone was nearby with a group of young males. His knuckles were bleeding. James and Paul knew each other and were friends. James and Paul arrived at 390 Oxford Street and were in the line to get into a local bar. A witness stated that she heard James and Paul arguing about a girl they both knew while they were waiting in line. The bouncers called police about 5 minutes after the first punch was thrown. There were no females present with Paul and James. Paul's knuckles were bleeding on his right hand. Paul and James both refused to talk to the police, and stated they had no intention of pressing charges. Several witnesses in the line state that Paul struck James once in the face. Ambulance advises that there are no serious injuries to James, just a bloody nose. Police received a radio call to attend the Hungry Heffer at 390 Oxford Street at 11:40 pm for a fight. Paul Stone was cautioned by police for the assault.
